About

Hi all,

I am  software engineer and a certified SCRUM master. I love writing software in both JAVA and ROR.

I hardly blog and only blog when I get exited about something and want to share it. I know that’s not unique, but just had to write something here…

cheers

Hi Sanjeev, I just stumbled across your post on the PROTECTED Java modifier. I have a lengthy C++ and Java background. PROTECTED is the thing in Java I dislike the most. IMO, it should work the way it does in C++, that is, access limited to the containing class and its subtypes. By including package access, PROTECTED forces me to create packages I would not otherwise need. Does this perspective make sense? Is there something I’m missing about the benefits of PROTECTED being defined the way it is? I’m always anxious to learn, but I find there’s very little discussion on this point. Thanks!

Nice posts, but your english is a little incoherent. I hope you phrase your sentences correctly.
